The New York Giants are making heavy use of the injury cart during training camp on Tuesday. Multiple players have sustained injuries, most of which seem minor, and three of them have been carted off. The first to go down with injury was rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham, according to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com.
Giants open training camp, put injury cart to work
Three players were carted off the practice field and a fourth was banged up on Tuesday, the first day of New York Giants training camp.

Beckham sustained an apparent leg injury, but it doesn’t appear serious. More tweets from Raanan said that Beckham remained on the sideline, so there was no urgency to get him checked out by the medical staff. That’s one crisis averted.
This is when the cart came into play. Brandon Mosley went down with an injury shortly after Beckham, and was taken away on the cart, again via Raanan. Mosley is currently battling for the starting right guard position recently vacated by Chris Snee, who announced his retirement on Monday.
After Mosley, it was Jameel McClain who was taken off on the cart, and then tight end Xavier Grimble:

— Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) July 22, 2014 It wasn't all bad news on the first day of training camp for New York, though. Before going down with injury, Beckham managed to haul in a touchdown pass, and another rookie, Weston Richburg, got to see some snaps with the first team, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. Richburg saw snaps at the starting right guard position which, again, is the most contested spot on the offensive line.
Also, this happened:
It's not as though the Eli Manning to Victor Cruz combination needs to be solidified or anything, but it's always nice to see. Whatever the case, through one practice we have four injured players, a couple promising looks from rookies and that's about it. It's probably safe to say the majority of these players haven't shaken off the rust quite yet, which is why the injuries mentioned above don't seem very serious.
