Nick Fairley sentenced to 6 months in jail for DUI, reckless driving
The Lions DL was given a suspended jail sentence as well as a year of probation.

Fairley was arrested in the early morning hours of May 27, 2012, for driving under the influence in his home state of Alabama. He was also cited for reckless driving and attempting to elude police.
Fairley was also arrested a few weeks earlier in Alabama for marijuana possession. However the charges were later dropped that same year.
Fairley did not appear in court, but was present at the Lions’ training camp instead. The good news for the Lions is that the sentence is suspended, and Fairley is reportedly in great shape heading into his fourth NFL season.
Fairley also has to pay $750 in court fees and was assigned two required classes, one for each charge. According to the Detroit Free Press, Fairley will appeal the court’s decision.
Fairley has 58 career tackles and 12.5 sacks in his three-year career.
