How to watch Raiders vs. Packers 2014 online, TV schedule, radio and more

A rematch of Super Bowl II gives us one team looking to reclaim championship glory in 2014, and another simply hoping for solid improvements.

The third preseason game is always the most important. For starters, the first-string players get to see the majority of the snaps, usually playing into the third quarter. Beyond that, coaches begin to loosen the reins on the playbook a bit, seeing what the players can and cannot handle.

For the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers, the two teams are in totally different spots. Oakland is in the third year of the Reggie McKenzie/Dennis Allen regime, and are looking to make serious progress after a pair of 4-12 campaigns. Green Bay wants a return to glory with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, last appearing in the Super Bowl back in 2010.

The Tim Tebow Chronicles

More on the matchup: The Packers have one of the youngest offensive lines in football, but it has looked excellent early on. Green Bay has struggled to protect Rodgers the past few years, something head coach Mike McCarthy and the front office have addressed. Josh Sitton is one of the best left guards in the game while tackles David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga are holding down the outside. Defensively, Green Bay acquired outside linebacker Julius Peppers via free agency and added first-round pick Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix to the backfield.

Oakland is also working in a first-round pick on the defensive side of the ball. Khalil Mack is expected to make a quick impact for the Raiders as an outside linebacker, and he has played well thus far with four tackles and a sack this preseason. Mack and the defense might need to exceed expectations with the offense coming slowly. The starting offense has been very stagnant with Matt Schaub and his receivers failing to gel. Schaub threw an interception against the Lions last Friday, something of obvious concern.
