Starters often play just a series or two in the Hall of Fame Game, but Manning and the Giants first-team offense played nearly the entire first quarter. Manning completed 6-of-7 pass attempts for 43 yards, leading the Giants 80 yards on their third series for a touchdown. Manning did lose a fumble on the second series which led to a Bills field goal. Rookie running back Andre Williams fared well in his debut, rushing seven times for 48 yards and a touchdown. The fourth-round pick is competing with Rashad Jennings for carries in the Giants' backfield.
Manuel had a relatively lackluster debut for the Bills, completing just 2-of-7 attempts for 19 yards. He was on the field for just 10 offensive plays. Spiller gained two yards on Buffalo's first offensive play and that proved to be the only time he touched the ball. Instead it was newly-acquired Bryce Brown leading the rushing attack, gaining 40 yards on seven carries. Jeff Tuel and Robert Woods accounted for Buffalo's lone touchdown with Tuel capping an 80-yard touchdown drive with a two-yard pass to Woods.
The Giants took the 17-13 lead early in the fourth quarter when wide receiver Corey Washington broke free for a 73-yard touchdown reception from Ryan Nassib.
