After missing the first four weeks of the 2014 season with heart issues, it appears Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford will not return to coaching this year.
Jeff Tedford to miss rest of Buccaneers 2014 season, per report
Ailing offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford will sit out the rest of the season.

According to a televised report by Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, Tedford will remain away from the team while he recovers from a medical procedure that placed mesh tubes around an artery near his heart. Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Marcus Arroyo, who has called plays in Tedford’s absence, will continue to do so for the remainder of the season.
Tedford arrived in Tampa this offseason as part of head coach Lovie Smith's newly assembled staff. Before accepting the offensive coordinator position, he served as the head coach at Cal from 2002 through 2012. According to reports this summer, it was former pupil Aaron Rodgers who suggested the Buccaneers hire Tedford as coordinator.
Without Tedford at the controls, Tampa Bay’s offense has produced the fewest yards (306.5) and points (18) in the NFC on a per game basis.
