NFL odds and lines 2014, Week 1: Sam Bradford-less Rams open as favorites at home against Vikings
Even without Sam Bradford, the Rams are opening up the season as 3.5-point favorites at home against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Rams lost Bradford for the season with a torn ACL, putting their entire season in jeopardy. They were coming into this year with high hopes on offense to coincide with an emerging defense, but Bradford's absence throws a wrench in just about everything. However, Shaun Hill has proven to be a serviceable fill-in in the past.
The Vikings are rolling with quarterback Matt Cassel instead of rookie Teddy Bridgewater, but there's optimism in Minnesota because of new coach Mike Zimmer, who brought along Norv Turner as his offensive coordinator. Oh, and it doesn't hurt to still have Adrian Peterson.
The Rams are currently enduring a 2-11-1 ATS run in their last 14 season-opening games, though they have won four straight games while favored at home. The Vikings are 5-1 ATS in their last six games.
