The simulations have the matchup faring as close as the narrow spread would indicate, but Washington comes out on top, edging Houston 14-13. With that in mind, the over-under is set at 44.5, with most bettors (54 percent) leaning in favor of the under.
Robert Griffin III will lead Washington into hostile territory with a 5-11 record against the spread last season. The Texans haven't fared much better at 1-7-1 in their last nine games against the NFC East ATS.
On the field, Washington faces questions at the all-important quarterback position. All eyes will be on RG3 and whether he's ready to take a major step forward in his third year. If he regresses, backup Kirk Cousins is ready for an opportunity to show what he can do at the helm.
Houston will look for any continuity it can find on offense behind Arian Foster and with quarterback questions of its own.
