Ben Roethlisberger better at making big plays than anyone ‘in the history of the game’

Justin K. Aller

Ben Roethlisberger is having a good game against the Cleveland Browns, and his touchdown pass to Antonio Brown was really impressive. It's the kind of thing he does somewhat frequently, because he's a pretty good quarterback. Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts were ... more than a little blown away.

Eagle’s response on its own elicits little more than a chuckle. Calling Roethlisberger a magician is pretty funny, but it’s made funnier by what it obviously prompts Fouts to do. “Nobody does this better in the history of the game,” says the former quarterback, regarding Roethlisberger’s ability to extend plays and throw spectacular touchdown passes.

It’s this kind of hyperbole that we’ve missed all summer long. Welcome back, NFL.
