Despite interest from the Chicago Bears and New York Jets as a head coach candidate, Ravens' offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak says he's staying in Baltimore.
Offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak says he’s staying with Ravens
The Bears and Jets will have to look elsewhere for a head coach.

“It is flattering and humbling to be invited to interview for a number of NFL head coaching positions, and I greatly appreciate these opportunities,” Kubiak said in a statement released by the team. “But I have decided to stay with the Ravens.
“This is a special organization and we, like [head] coach [John] Harbaugh says, are building something great. I want to be a part of that and contribute in whatever ways I can.”
On Sunday, a day after the Ravens were eliminated from the playoffs, ESPN Chicago reported the Bears were pursuing Kubiak for their vacant head coach position. After the hiring of the inexperienced Marc Trestman resulted in a 13-19 record over two years, Chicago is reportedly interested in someone with previous NFL head coaching experience. Kubiak coached the Houston Texans from 2006-2013.
Under Kubiak this season, Baltimore set a franchise record for points and finished the regular season No. 12 in overall offense, the team’s highest ranking since 1997.
