Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is expected to stay put in New England, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. McDaniels has been one of the hottest names in the 2015 coaching search period and has been tied to both the Atlanta Falcons and the San Francisco 49ers.
Josh McDaniels expected to stay with Patriots, Todd Bowles frontrunner for Falcons
With McDaniels and Rex Ryan off the table, Atlanta has reportedly set its sights on the Cardinals defensive coordinator.

With McDaniels -- who interviewed with the Falcons on Saturday -- off the table, Atlanta has reportedly turned its sights on Todd Bowles. The Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator is scheduled for a second interview with the team on Wednesday, according to Ledbetter.
The Falcons will also have a second interview with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin on Thursday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Falcons owner Arthur Blank had been rumored to be heavily interested in Rex Ryan, but any opportunity of bringing in the former New York Jets head coach ended when he was hired by the Buffalo Bills on Monday. Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has also been mentioned as a possible hire, but he won't be available until the Seahawks' postseason run ends.
Assistant general manager Scott Pioli is believed to be Bowles’ biggest supporter within the Falcons organization. Pioli’s father-in-law is Bill Parcells, who Bowles worked for in Dallas and Miami.
