DeflateGate is dominating the headlines this week, so its hardly a surprise that a sportsbook is taking prop bets on whether New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will be suspended due to the scandal. Bovada has set the moneyline at -200/+150 for whether he will be suspended at least one game, and at -1500/+750 that he will be suspended specifically for the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl 2015 prop bets: Odds that Bill Belichick is suspended because of ‘DeflateGate’
What are the odds that Belichick won’t be coaching in the Super Bowl? Or that Katy Perry wears a whipped-cream bikini at the halftime?

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Tuesday night that the league determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots in Sunday's AFC title game win over the Indianapolis Colts were under-inflated by 2 pounds per square inch. The NFL has yet to comment on the investigation, and the Patriots have publicly stated that they are fully cooperating with the league at this time.
Based on the NFL’s rulebook, it seems more likely that the team and/or coach will receive a significant fine if found guilty of an infraction, rather than a suspension. From the league game operations manual: “If any individual alters the footballs, or if a non-approved ball is used in the game, the person responsible and, if appropriate, the head coach or other club personnel will be subject to discipline, including but not limited to, a fine of $25,000.”
Turning to some of the more unusual Super Bowl prop bets, we find one at Mytopsportsbook.com that lets you bet on whether Katy Perry will wear a whipped-cream bikini during her halftime show. Those odds are currently set at 18-1. Other fun bets include guessing Perry's hair color, the odds of a wardrobe malfunction (22-1), whether the power goes out at the stadium (44-1), and the chance that Idina Menzel forgets the words to the national anthem (50-1).
