NFL playoffs live stream: How to watch Cardinals vs. Panthers 2015 online
The Cardinals will face the Panthers on Saturday at 4:25 p.m. ET. Here’s how you can stream the game online.
The Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers have taken bizarre paths to the postseason, but meet there on Saturday at 4:25 p.m. ET on ESPN. Arizona started three quarterbacks on its way to an 11-5 record, earning the fifth seed in the NFC. Carolina began the season 3-8-1 but rallied to win four consecutive games and subsequently the NFC South, becoming the second team in NFL history to make the playoffs with a losing record in a non-strike shortened year.
Under head coach Bruce Arians, the Cardinals have survived the loss of Carson Palmer, who missed four games early in the season with a shoulder injury, only to be lost for good with a torn ACL in early November. Drew Stanton took over and played well enough to keep Arizona in the NFC West penthouse, only to suffer a sprained ACL and MCL against the St. Louis Rams in Week 15.
Stanton is likely out for the season due to an infection, which puts the pressure on Ryan Lindley, who has thrown two touchdowns and 11 interceptions in nine career appearances. The Cardinals were beaten by the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers the past two weeks in Lindley's starts, both underwhelming performances.
Carolina appeared dead in the water going into December, but has not lost a game since. The Panthers capped their sizable rally against the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome last Sunday, beating their divisional foes 34-3 for the NFC South crown. Running back Jonathan Stewart has been a major reason for the Panthers' resurgence, rushing for over 120 yards twice in that span with two touchdowns.
The biggest key to the turnaround has been defense. In 2013, Carolina was second in defense behind only the Seahawks. This year, the Panthers allowed 28 points or more in seven games before buckling down. In December, Carolina allowed only 43 combined points, easily its best month of the season.
