Jaguars vs. Buccaneers 2015 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Jacksonville and Tampa Bay are both looking for a spark.

Phil Sears-USA TODAY Sports

Jameis Winston throws too many interceptions, but this week, he's facing a team that struggles to intercept passes. That small battle might decide the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

In his first four starts, Winston has been picked off seven times, tying him with Andrew Luck for the most in the NFL. In their four games, Jacksonville has only intercepted one pass, and that came back in Week 1 when linebacker Paul Posluszny got Cam Newton. Posluszny might miss the Tampa Bay game with a high ankle sprain, and the secondary only has two interceptions since the start of last season.

That’s pretty much the story of these two teams -- they don’t do much well. They’ve each been outscored by 45 points in four games, tying them for 29th and 30th respectively, and they both managed to sneak one win -- Jacksonville against the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay against the New Orleans Saints -- in with three bad losses.

For the Jaguars, the problem has been playing 60 good minutes. They were blown out by the New England Patriots, and won't be alone in that, but in their other three games, they've been okay in the first half. They trailed the Carolina Panthers 10-9 after two quarters and were outscored 10-0 in the second half; they led the Dolphins 20-13 and held on to win 23-20; they led the Indianapolis Colts 13-10 and lost 16-13 in overtime.

So that's three winnable games, but only three combined points in the second half. Much of that is on Blake Bortles, who hasn't been able to move the offense after halftime, even with the defense giving him plenty of opportunities. Rookie running back T.J. Yeldon rushed for 105 yards against the Colts after a slow start to his career, and if he can keep that up against Tampa Bay's run defense -- ranked 30th in the NFL -- it might take some pressure off the second-year quarterback.

The Buccaneers have to find a way to hang on to the ball. They are last in the NFL with 10 turnovers in four games, including five in last week's 37-23 loss to the Panthers. Winston threw four interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown, negating Doug Martin's 106 yards rushing and Vincent Jackson's 10 catches for 147 yards.

In a game between two teams this bad, winning often comes down to finding one thing a team can do well. One possibility here is Jacksonville’s run defense, which is holding opponents to a league-best 3.1 yards per carry. If the Jags can eliminate Martin as a threat, it would put even more pressure on Winston to make plays. When he starts to force passes, he starts making mistakes. Until now, Jacksonville’s secondary hasn’t been able to take advantage of bad throws, but if Winston gives them enough chances, they are bound to make a couple game-changing interceptions.

Tampa Bay doesn’t have that one solid skill to match Jacksonville’s run defense, and that might be enough to give the Jaguars the edge.
