Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning have only faced off one time during their illustrious careers. The two former MVP winners get another game Sunday night in primetime.

A clash of two undefeated teams in primetime.
The Green Bay Packers managed a 6-0 start for the second time during the Mike McCarthy era. However, getting there was no easy task. The team lost three of its top receivers before its Week 7 bye: Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams and Ty Montgomery. Additionally, Randall Cobb battled through a badly sprained shoulder that limited his productivity. The offensive line endured hardships as well, with left tackle David Bakhtiari struggling with a knee injury during the early part so the season and right guard T.J. Lang meeting a similar fate after spraining his MCL in Week 5. On defense, starters Morgan Burnett, Nick Perry, B.J. Raji and Sam Barrington all missed time with a myriad of calamities.
But the bye week appears to have done the trick for Green Bay. When practice resumed on Monday, only Montgomery and running back James Starks did not participate. That bodes well not only for the team's trip to Denver, but also for the second half of the season.
The recovery time could have a significant impact on the offensive productivity. Though the Packers produce 27.3 points per game (fifth-most in the league), that figure is nearly five points higher than their average over their last three games. During that stretch, the receivers have struggled to get open and the running game has faltered at times. Eddie Lacy hasn't looked the same this year, averaging fewer than 4 yards a carry and only 43.3 rushing yards a game. A healthy offensive line and receiving corps could open up the passing game, thus forcing defenses to stop loading the box to stop Lacy.
As for the Cenver Broncos, questions persist regarding Manning's viability as a starting quarterback. His numbers during the first half of the season suggest that the future Hall of Famer might have stayed on a year too long. He ranks second to last among qualified quarterbacks in passer rating, ahead of only the recently released Ryan Mallett. Manning also has the 11th-worst completion percentage and is tied for the lead in interceptions. While the Broncos haven't put a great offensive line in front of him, Manning does have a more-than-capable set of weapons at his disposal. His performance has to improve if the offense is going to become a league-average unit at any point in 2015.
In the event it doesn't, Denver still has a world-class defense to prop it up. The unit leads the conference in points allowed per game (17) and leads the entire league in sacks (26). That production has come despite outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware missing much of the team's last two games with a back injury. Ware is expected to return in time for the showdown with Green Bay, however, bolstering an already potent pass rush. In the secondary, Chris Harris Jr. and Aqib Talib form one of the NFL's best cornerback tandems. Talib has shown a nose for the ball this season, as his two pick-sixes attest.
Rodgers rarely turns the ball over, but the Broncos have the horses to take advantage of any mistakes he makes.
