With every passing week, Chip Kelly looks less likely to remain as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. If he hits the open coaching market again, there are expected to be a few teams interested in giving him another chance at a head coaching gig, including the Tennessee Titans and USC Trojans.
Chip Kelly’s time in the NFL may not end if he gets fired by the Eagles
The Tennessee Titans are a potential landing spot for Chip Kelly, although a college coaching job, like the one USC is interested in giving him, would offer more control.

Much of Kelly’s failings with the Eagles have to do with the team’s offseason personnel decisions since he was given roster control. On NFL GameDay on Sunday morning, Mike Silver summarized it best when he said “Chip Kelly the GM is not helping Chip Kelly the coach.”
The Titans are expected to be a team interested in Kelly, where he would be reunited with Marcus Mariota, who he worked with during his time as the head coach of the Oregon Ducks. The stipulation, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, is that Kelly wouldn't be allowed to have personnel control if he was hired by the Titans.
With no shortage of college coaching options expected to be available for Kelly, giving up control of a roster might be too much to ask. Among his potential options in the college ranks are the USC Trojans, who have already reached out to Kelly to let him know of their interest. The Maryland Terrapins are also reportedly interested in pursuing him.
Of course, this is all dependent on Kelly and the Eagles parting ways after a disappointing 2015 season. The team improved to 4-4 early in November, but after three losses in a row, including a 45-14 destruction at the hands of the Detroit Lions, there are plenty of reports and signs of discord between the coach and his team, although he has maintained he’s determined to turn things around.

— Michael Silver (@MikeSilver) November 29, 2015 While the Eagles have a 4-7 record in 2015, the team posted 10-6 records in each of Kelly's first two seasons with the team. In four seasons as the head coach at Oregon, Kelly posted a 46-7 record with wins in the Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl, and a loss in the 2011 BCS National Championship.
