The impending birth of his son won't keep Richard Sherman out of the world championship game. "I am playing in the Super Bowl," the star Seattle Seahawks cornerback texted Peter King on Sunday.
Super Bowl 2015: Richard Sherman is playing despite impending birth of son
Good news for Seahawks fans.

Sherman and his girlfriend, Ashley Moss, have been on baby watch for the last week. She could give birth at any time, but Sherman’s jokingly expressed optimism that his son will wait until after the big game to arrive.
“He’s not supposed to come Sunday,” Sherman told NFL.com. “Obviously that’d change some things, but I think he’s going to be a disciplined young man and stay in there until after the game.”
This isn’t exactly breaking news -- there was never any real concern that Sherman would miss the game -- but it’s nevertheless reassuring for the Seahawks. Sherman is graded by Pro Football Focus as the No. 3 cornerback in the league this season and has held quarterbacks throwing into his coverage to a 48.4 passer rating.
