Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and his girlfriend welcomed their highly anticipated son to the world Thursday morning. Sherman had publicly stated he hoped the baby would wait to be born until after Super Bowl XLIX, which his Seahawks lost to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, 28-24.
Richard Sherman’s son picked the perfect day to be born
The best corner in football now has a son, who apparently has an amazing sense of timing.

Despite the loss, Sherman can at least celebrate the new addition to his family. Even better, his son’s birthday falls on 2/5, a number that has become synonymous with Seattle’s dominate corner:
My son sure does know how to make an entrance! 2/5/15... Is it a coincidence or is he just that clever?! Either way I'm ecstatic

The doctors had told Sherman the baby was not likely to arrive before the big game, and they were proven right as baby Rayden was born early Thursday.
