Falcons sign Jacob Tamme
Atlanta has added Tamme to the mix as a secondary weapon to Julio Jones and Roddy White.

Excited to join the Atlanta Falcons! Looking forward to meeting my teammates & starting the process of working to win a Championship.
— Jacob Tamme (@JacobTamme) March 19, 2015 Atlanta was one of the worst running teams in football last year, ranking 24th in the league at 93.6 yards per game. Tamme is a quality blocker who will help improve that statistic while catching a few Matt Ryan passes.
Tamme played his first four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts before suiting up in the next three for the Denver Broncos. Tamme's best campaign was in 2010 when he caught 67 passes for 631 yards and four touchdowns, taking over a starting role for the injured Dallas Clark. Last year, Tamme was used sparingly as a third tight end with Denver behind Julius Thomas and Virgil Green, hauling in 14 passes for 109 yards and two scores.
Tamme will be competing for time with Levine Toilolo, who caught 31 passes for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 2014.
