2015 Thursday Night Football schedule

More dual broadcasts on Thursday evening.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL has released the full Thursday Night Football schedule for the 2015 season. The schedule includes 16 games that will be split between two networks.

While the first game of the season falls on Thursday, Sept. 10, that game is actually a Thursday night edition of NBC's Sunday Night Football. Accordingly, the first game of the Thursday Night Football schedule arrives in Week 2 when the Denver Broncos travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs.

The first eight games of the Thursday night package will air on both CBS and the NFL Netowrk for the second consecutive year. Starting with Week 9, the broadcast shifts over to the NFL Network alone, the home for Thursday Night Football since the package originally debuted in 2006. The games, which typically begin at 8:25 p.m. ET, will feature Jim Nantz and Phil Simms on the game call with Tracy Wolfson on the sideline.
