Gurley is widely considered one of the best running back prospects to enter the NFL since Adrian Peterson. He put up 1,385 yards and 17 touchdowns in his freshman season with Georgia, but a torn ACL last season left many questions regarding his draft stock.
Landing an explosive back like Gurley was a risk St. Louis was ready to take on draft night. He could be special talent once he’s ready to take the field again.
Last season the Rams found themselves at the bottom of the NFC West once again, winning just six games. In Gurley, Jeff Fisher will now have a new player to integrate as he takes another crack at getting St. Louis back to being a competitive franchise.
