2015 NFL Draft: Time and TV schedule for Rounds 2 and 3

There is still much to watch for on Day 2 of the draft.

Most football fans agonize over which prospect their favorite team selects in the first round of the NFL Draft. While those players are indeed important, plenty of talent remains on the board for teams on the draft’s second day. The 2015 NFL Draft returns Friday evening for the second and third rounds.

As with previous drafts, the first day of the 2015 NFL Draft featured big-name talents with eye-popping potential. This year’s such prospects included Amari Cooper, Jameis Winston and Leonard Williams among others. That said, it would be a mistake to assume prospects taken on Day 2 can’t outperform those taken earlier. In just the last few years, players such as Bobby Wagner, Randall Cobb and Eddie Lacy have come off the board in rounds two and three.

Barring a trade, the first team to make a pick on Day 2 is scheduled to be the Tennessee Titans. They’ll be followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders and several other teams who performed poorly in 2014.

Teams are allotted seven minutes to determine their selections during the second round. That time dips to five minutes per pick for the third round.
