Landon Collins didn't hear his name called during Thursday night's first round, but he didn't have to wait long on Friday. After swapping picks with the Tennessee Titans, the New York Giants traded up to grab the Alabama safety with the first pick of the second round.
2015 NFL Draft: Giants trade with Titans, draft Landon Collins
New York moved up to add to its shaky secondary.

The Giants sent the Titans the No. 40 overall (second round), No. 108 overall (fourth round) and No. 245 overall (seventh) in order to move up.
Once thought to be a top-10 talent, Collins began sliding down draft boards in recent weeks. He spent all of Thursday night in the green room in Chicago, watching as one team after another passed him by.
“I can’t for the life of me think why he would slide in the draft,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said Thursday on Sirius XM radio. “He’s a fine person. He has no character issues. He’s played on some really good defensive teams and has been a great leader so I don’t get it but I don’t know all that goes on there. Sometimes when you get all the information and it is what it is, and people ought to go with that rather than trying to read something into something that really isn’t there.”
