It isn't the most glamorous part of the draft by any means, but Day 3 of the 2015 NFL Draft is likely to yield plenty of quality players once it kicks off at noon ET. Several big names, like defensive tackles Michael Bennett from Ohio State and Grady Jarrett of Clemson, are still left on the board and could turn into bargain deals for whichever team drafts them on Saturday.

Day 3 has the potential to produce superstars.

Although eight running backs have already been picked in the draft, a few high-potential rushers are still waiting to hear their names called, including Boise State’s Jay Ajayi and Minnesota’s David Cobb. Two offensive tackles -- La’el Collins and T.J. Clemmings -- lead off Dan Kadar’s list of the best available players, though in Collins’ case, he could go undrafted due to lingering concerns about an ongoing police investigation.
Many fans pay little attention to rounds four through seven, since many of the players selected are borderline anonymous. Certainly, few outside of the hardcore draft community were familiar with Lindenwood’s Pierre Desir or Montana’s Jordan Tripp before their names were called. Those players are now on NFL rosters, and expected to make an impact this season.
Few teams have mastered the third day of the draft better than the Seattle Seahawks. Three members of the famed "Legion of Boom" secondary -- Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor and Byron Maxwell -- were once Day 3 selections. Sherman and Chancellor have earned All-Pro honors, and Maxwell became one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL this offseason.
Many other teams expertly utilize the final day of the draft, including the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens. Even teams that have struggled to draft well in any of the early rounds have uncovered gems on Day 3. Good rosters are built largely on the contributions of players taken in these rounds.
Teams are allotted five minutes for each pick during rounds four through six, and then four minutes per pick in the seventh round. In some cases, teams do not use the full time limit to make their selections.
