DOWN GOES CLADY: The Denver Broncos took a huge blow Thursday when they learned that left tackle Ryan Clady would be out for the upcoming season with a torn ACL. It may be too early to panic, but this isn't as good of a line overall as the one that had to do without Clady in 2013. Rookie Ty Sambrailo is the most likely replacement, though Broncos coach Gary Kubiak says that's still being decided.

BUST ALERT: Draftniks got a chance to declare Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher, the first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, a bust yesterday when it was reported that he was working with the second team at OTAs. Andy Reid pushed back on that, telling the press that this was just making sure Donald Stephenson got some reps with the first team.
BARGAIN BIN: The Giants, another team with tackle troubles, had former first overall pick Jake Long in for a visit. Long was released by the Rams after two injury-riddled years there.
GROWING UP: Cardinals coach Bruce Arians says that his team’s newest tackle, first-round pick D.J. Humphries, “needs to mature a little bit.”
STILL RANTING: Adrian Peterson didn't stop after a string of tweets about guaranteed contracts and his situation with the Vikings. After a pause from his keyboard, he took aim at the NFLPA for not fighting for guaranteed contracts in the collective bargaining agreement. He's kind of got a point. The owners had all the leverage during the lockout to fight that, but you still have to wonder might have happened if the players simply refused to come back to work until they got those concessions.

NOT RACIST: Chip Kelly and his players responded to LeSean McCoy’s assertion that he’s racist. No word from Riley Cooper. And in case you’re still wondering what exactly it is Kelly’s doing with the Eagles, watch this.
TASTE THE MEAT: DeMarco Murray hopes that his former teammate, Joseph Randle, gets to “taste the meat” this season.
ELITE BALLS: Joe Flacco is also very particular about how he likes his balls to be rubbed. Flacco’s coach took it to the next level, bumping him from elite to “superstar.”
BEST EVER: Wow, some high praise for Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, and from someone who knows a thing or two about running backs.
NOT PRACTICING: Jordy Nelson was not on the field with the Packers on Thursday. He’s recovering from hip surgery, but is expected to be fine for the season.
