Due to his uncertain status related to a police investigation, former LSU offensive lineman La’el Collins wasn’t selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, even though he wasn’t considered a suspect. Now, Collins appears one step closer to fully clearing his name after passing an independent polygraph test, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
La’el Collins passes polygraph test, ruled out as father of Brittney Mills’ baby, per report
After going unselected in the 2015 NFL Draft, the former LSU offensive lineman could find an NFL home soon.

Collins, a potential top-10 pick as recently as a week before the draft, was questioned by police about the shooting death of Brittney Mills, reportedly Collins’ ex-girlfriend. Mills was pregnant at the time of the shooting, and there were questions of whether Collins was the father. However, Anderson reports paternity tests came back negative.
Several NFL teams -- including the Bills, Dolphins and Buccaneers among others -- have shown interest in signing Collins once the legal situation is resolved.
