STATE OF ST. LOUIS FOOTBALL: The press finally got a look at the executive summary from the NFL-sponsored market survey in St. Louis, and it paints a decidedly mixed picture of the city’s football future. On the one hand, the city could raise close to $200 million through the sale of personal seat licenses.
Rise ‘n Grind: Can St. Louis support the NFL?
An NFL market survey offers good and bad news for the future of professional football in St. Louis. Rise, grind and get all the NFL news you need to start your day!

On the other hand, there are real concerns about the area’s limited ability to support a team via premium seating like suites. The real issue for St. Louis’ NFL future is how the picture painted by this survey compares to what the much larger and much richer Los Angeles market has to offer.
GIANTS STILL WAITING: The Giants have people in Florida trying to get a handle on the situation with Jason Pierre-Paul, but they’re having a difficult time doing that. They still haven’t been able to see him. This thing just keeps getting weirder.
CANCELLED: The Marshawn Lynch biopic has been scuttled, which isn’t much of a surprise considered how bizarre the trailer looked. But still, we watched him with the Bills, so we’d watch just about anything with Marshawn.
MORE LONDON GAMES: The NFL announced a 10-year deal with the Tottenham Hotspur to play two UK international series games at the new soccer stadium, which opens in 2018, that’s got one of the fanciest new features in stadium design that’s sure to have NFL owners demanding new fields from local taxpayers in no time.
ETHICS 101: Is it wrong for teams to run up the score on their opponents?
SELFIE WAR: Zach Mettenberger poked the bear known as J.J. Watt, taking aim at his letter jacket. I guess Marcus Mariota can deal with a pissed off Watt once the seasons starts. Pretty convenient for Mettenberger.
THE LATEST ON DEZ: Why are there conflicting reports about how close the Cowboys and Dez Bryant are to a long-term deal? And why the hell was DeMarco Murray the No. 8 player on the NFL’s top 100 thingy when Dez didn’t even make the top 10? Boooo.
THE MOST POPULAR JERSEY: Which NFL player is tops in jersey sales? Why it’s Browns cornerback Joe Haden, of course. Really.
ALL ABOUT THE MONEY: Four months after Chris Borland’s surprise retirement, the former 49ers linebacker says people can’t stop asking him about the money.
DETHRONED: Andrew Luck isn’t circling that game with the Patriots on his calendar, but he is itching to knock them off the top spot in the AFC.
