Even more trouble for the 49ers

Nothing seems to be going right in Niner land this year. Also, Andy Dalton for MVP, crazy Steelers fans, the latest on Johnny Football and more.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

INDICTED: Former 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald was indicted by a grand jury for raping an intoxicated woman at his house in December. His teammate, Ahmad Brooks, was also indicted on a misdemeanor sexual battery charge against the same woman. The team issued a statement about Brooks on Wednesday night.

49ERS ROSTER: Brooks can expect a suspension for his actions at some point. He’s not the only Niners player facing discipline. The NFL is still investigating Bruce Miller for domestic battery.

JUST WATCH: It’s been a tough year for Niners fans, so watch yet another highlight from Jarryd Hayne.

ANDY FOR MVP: Someone picked Andy Dalton as the AFC North MVP.

DON’T GIVE UP: Apparently, there are Steelers fans who say they’re giving up on the team over the addition of Michael Vick, a man who committed a crime, served his sentence for it and has rehabilitated himself. But they’re okay with Ben Roethlisberger?

NO JOHNNY: Johnny Manziel’s preseason is over. The Browns are shutting him down because he’s experiencing elbow soreness in his throwing arm. An MRI did not reveal any structural damage. The team is bringing in Pat Devlin for a workout in case they need another warm body for the remainder of exhibition play.

STADIUM TROUBLE: A group of Missouri politicians are promising to block governor Jay Nixon’s plan to fork over hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars for a new St. Louis stadium (one that Rams owner Stan Kroenke doesn’t seem to really want anyway).

BARTH IS BACK: The Buccaneers signed kicker Connor Barth on Wednesday after the Broncos released him.

DON’T WORRY: Evan Mathis has some advice for the people trolling him about his contract.

COWBOY SHUFFLE: Here’s how the Cowboys will fill in the gap in their defense after losing Orlando Scandrick.
