The Indianapolis Colts are 0-2, Andrew Luck can't stop turning the ball over and Chuck Pagano is throwing people under the bus so fast that no one can keep up with whom he's insulting at any given point. Was his reference to trigonometry a reference to Luck's engineering degree? When he said that Luck should be used to playing behind a porous offensive line, was that a shot at his quarterback or general manager Ryan Grigson?
NFL picks and predictions, Colts vs. Titans 2015: Indianapolis expected to win its 1st game
Andrew Luck and the Colts are a near-unanimous pick to get out of their 0-2 hole.
Whatever way you look at it, the Colts are off to a disastrous start. Luckily for them, they now get three straight games in the AFC South -- they've won their last 13 divisional games -- starting with a visit from the Tennessee Titans. Indy has beaten the Titans seven straight times and 12 of the last 13.
This, though, isn't your older brother's Tennessee Titans. Marcus Mariota already looks like an NFL quarterback, and in sharp contrast to Luck he still hasn't thrown his first NFL interception. On the other side of the ball, Dick LeBeau's brilliant defensive schemes seem like the perfect weapon against a befuddled Colts offense.
It isn't all perfect for the Titans, though. When Johnny Manziel did get time against LeBeau's pass rush, he was able to hit Travis Benjamin on two long touchdown passes, and Tennessee's offensive line let Mariota take a beating for most of the game.
Luck has enough experience that he won’t be overwhelmed by LeBeau’s defensive looks, and the Titans are always going to be a question mark offensively until they can keep Mariota on his feet. That’s why seven of the eight CBS experts are picking Indianapolis to get on the board this week.
The same sentiment holds true at SB Nation World Headquarters, where all eight of our panelists are going with the Colts.
