Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch left Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears with a hamstring injury. It's unclear when he sustained the injury, but Lynch was banged up coming into the game.
Marshawn Lynch exits Bears game with hamstring injury
Marshawn Lynch was declared out after a handful of snaps against the Chicago Bears due to a hamstring injury.
He was listed as questionable for the game with a calf injury, did not start the game as he needed more time in the locker room with the training staff, and then eventually came into the game later. He had five carries for 14 yards before leaving the game again and officially being declared out by the team in the third quarter of play.
Lynch is the team's starting running back. He had 33 carries for 114 yards coming into Sunday's game. Thomas Rawls actually officially made the start for Seattle, with Fred Jackson being listed as the primary backup on the depth chart. When Lynch left the game, Jackson had two carries for 13 yards and Rawls had just one carry for 6 yards.
Not much will be expected of Seattle’s running game without Lynch. It’s unclear if he sustained the hamstring injury at some point in this game or if his issues prior to the game were related and things simply didn’t feel right when he took the field.
