Andrew Luck finds his way, leads Colts comeback win

Andrew Luck is still struggling, but the Colts have their first win of the season after beating the Titans on Sunday.

Andrew Luck is still performing well below expectations for the Indianapolis Colts, but despite a pair of ugly interceptions, he led his team to their first win of the season on Sunday.

With the Colts trailing the Tennessee Titans by a pair of touchdowns heading into the fourth quarter, Luck completed 9 of 11 passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns to give his team the lead, and after that led the Colts on another scoring drive to extend their lead and seal the 35-33 win.

Prior to those fourth quarter drives, Luck was having a terrible game, completing just 7 of 17 passes for 116 yards with two interceptions in the first three frames. He looked uncomfortable, he made incredibly poor decisions and he pushed his interception total to seven on the season.

The Colts were 0-2 coming into this game, well shy of their expectations coming into the season. Few expected the Colts could lose to the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, but they did just that. Indianapolis had five total turnovers in the latter game against New York, and Luck was a big part of that. In fact, he was the biggest part of that, and he's come under fire more than any other established quarterback so early in the season.

Luck finished with 18 of 30 completions for 260 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He found Phillip Dorsett and Donte Moncrief for touchdown passes, and was assisted by a strong day of running from Frank Gore, who had a pair of touchdowns of his own.

The Colts have now won eight consecutive games against the Titans, and 13 of their last 14 against them. The AFC South isn't the strongest division in football, with both of the Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars coming into Sunday with 1-1 records, while the Houston Texans were 0-2 along with the Colts. After Sunday, all four teams are 1-2, with the Colts the only one among them to have a win over another team in the division.

It’s a division they were expected to dominate, and while they’re not off to the best start on that front, it’s still Andrew Luck, and it’s still the Colts. They’ll probably be fine.
