ROSTER MOVES: Teams released more than 700 players on Friday and Saturday, trimming their rosters to 53 players ahead of the NFL deadline. We tracked all the cuts here. Of course, teams aren’t done making roster moves, so keep an eye on the wires. Here are the biggest surprise moves.

DALLAS ADDS ANOTHER: In case you weren't confused enough about the Cowboys' running back committee, they added another, acquiring Christine Michael from the Seahawks.

TITANS GET WEST: The Browns sent second-year running back Terrance West to the Titans. He joins an underwhelming committee in Nashville. For now, West fills David Cobb’s spot on the roster after the Titans put him on short-term IR.

BRONCOS RELEASE BALL: After a some trade talk but no takers, the Broncos released Montee Ball, their second-round pick from 2013.

PATRIOTS RECEIVERS: The Reggie Wayne era in New England ended rather abruptly. Apparently, he didn’t want to be a Patriot. The team added Brandon LaFell to the PUP list, which means Aaron Dobson has one more shot to be a productive member of the team.

TO HELL: Oh, hey, here’s Tom Brady sending Roger Goodell to hell.

BACK TO THE PACK: The Packers reportedly signed old friend James Jones to fill out their receiver depth chart.

CHANCELLOR HOLDOUT: Kam Chancellor is still holding out in Seattle, and could miss Week 1. The team probably shouldn’t give in to his demands. The Giants are interested in trading for him, but the Seahawks aren’t ready for that just yet.

TEBOW CORNER: Yes, it’s over. Chip Kelly says he should get some reps in the CFL. Big Boi says the Falcons should sign him.

SAYING GOODBYE: The Chargers released kicker Nick Novak after four years with the team, replacing him with an undrafted free agent. He sent a nice thank you note to fans.

LISTEN IN: This week’s podcast is a doozy, covering everything from RG3 to DeflateGate to Tyrod Taylor and the Bills. Give it a listen or subscribe on iTunes.

PRACTICE SQUADS: Wondering who your team signed to its practice squad? Check out our team blogs for more details.

CHOPPING WOOD: Imagine Jack Del Rio managing your 401k. He said he would’ve been a financial adviser if he wasn’t a football coach.
