Patriots’ Danny Amendola on controversial hit: ‘We’re coached to do that’
“I’ll appeal if I’m getting fined, but I thought it was a clean hit.”
People had a lot of feelings about a play that feels pretty dirty, but maybe isn’t really illegal. Read more about that here.
After the game, Amendola defended himself.
”I’ll appeal if I’m getting fined, but I thought it was a clean hit.He explained the thought process that led up to it, too.
”We’re coached to do that. It’s a big play if I block that guy and the ball bounces in the end zone. We get the ball on the 20-yard line, so it’s a big play in the game, big play for field position.“Clean or not, the NFL needs to come up with a stiffer penalty for this. Yikes.
This Danny Amendola hit should be a way bigger penaltyClean or dirty, this hit has no place in the NFL.
