Get ready for Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning again

The conference championship matchups are set and wouldn’t you believe it, we’re getting Brady vs. Manning again! All that and more in our daily roundup.

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

BRADY VS. MANNING, AGAIN: The Denver Broncos held off the Pittsburgh Steelers to advance to the AFC Championship. On Saturday, the New England Patriots took care of the Kansas City Chiefs. You know what that means: Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning in the playoffs! What a new, fresh matchup we have never seen before.

ODDS: The Patriots opened as 2.5-point favorites. The Panthers are favored by 3 points at home.

PANTHERS WIN: The Carolina Panthers took a 31-0 lead over the Seattle Seahawks at halftime, making the game a laugher early on. Seattle actually put up a good fight, scoring 24 unanswered points in the second half, but Carolina held on for the 31-24 win. The Panthers now host the Arizona Cardinals, who put on an all-time classic show against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night.

AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR: We are just three weeks away from Super Bowl 50. Check out the updated schedule and bracket here.

PANTHERS LOSE VETERAN LINEMAN: Jared Allen suffered a foot injury in Sunday’s win, which could end his season and prevent him from playing in his first-ever Super Bowl. Poor guy can’t catch a break.

GUESS WHO’S HAPPY THE STEELERS LOST? The Cincinnati Bengals, of course. Players took to social media after the Steelers’ loss expressing their pleasure.

NEVER CHANGE, ARCHIE: Archie Manning has watched his son play countless games, win a Super Bowl and rack up bulletproof Hall of Fame credentials. He still gets nervous during Peyton’s games, like any good father would.

ANOTHER FEEL-GOOD FAMILY MOMENT: Manning awarded the game ball to Demaryius Thomas’ mother after the Broncos’ win. It’s getting dusty in this room right now.

MORE TITANS DRAMA: The Tennessee Titans’ decision to retain Mike Mularkey has gone as well as you’d expect. Defensive coordinator Ray Horton got an interview for the job, but reports came out that he felt disrespected and was considering jumping to the Cleveland Browns. Horton denied the rumor, but this saga looks far from over. Rumors that Peyton Manning will buy the team surfaced again too.

MOCK DRAFT TIME: Chiefs, Packers, Seahawks and Steelers fans don’t have any more games to watch this season, but they can at least start draft preparation. Here’s the latest two-round mock draft from Dan Kadar.

JOHNNY NO MORE?: New Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson had a lot to say about what he wants from his quarterback, and almost none of it involved Johnny Manziel. It certainly looks like Manziel’s Browns career is nearing an end.

GIANTS BRING IN BECKHAM’S COLLEGE COACH: The New York Giants have hired Adam Henry as their wide receivers coach, which is notable because Henry was the WR coach at LSU, Odell Beckham Jr.‘s old stomping grounds. This ought to be interesting.

END OF AN ERA? Marshawn Lynch may have played his final game with the Seahawks on Sunday. Pour one out for Beast Mode, just so you won’t get fined.

AN ODE TO DAVIS: Thomas Davis was one of the Panthers’ most important players in their Divisional round win. Let’s give the guy some more love, shall we?
