The Tampa Bay Buccaneers raised some eyebrows when they drafted Roberto Aguayo in the second round. It was a significant investment in a kicker, and one that is yet to pay off.
Tampa Bay kicker Roberto Aguayo’s struggles continue as he doinks a 33-yard attempt

Aguayo worked through major issues during the preseason. For a time, it seemed like he had fixed whatever issues he was having. Then the regular season started and the issues continued. They were magnified on Monday Night Football when Aguayo doinked a 33-yard attempt off the upright.
The distance and setup were identical to an extra point. And Aguayo’s kick never really had a shot. It started right and stayed right. He did make an earlier kick, but the miss dropped him to 2-of-4 on the season.
Tampa Bay general manager Jason Licht called Aguayo a “weapon” after the Bucs traded up in the second round to draft him. The Bucs are still waiting for that to be true.
