Booker left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury, which could’ve been disastrous for the Broncos.

Losing Booker for an extended period would have been a major blow for a Denver team thin at running back. The Broncos lost C.J. Anderson for the season due to a knee injury earlier this week. Without Anderson or Booker, the active depth chart is reduced to Kapri Bibbs, Juwan Thompson, and fullback Andy Janovich. Those three players have 80 career carries between them.
Booker, a fourth-round pick this spring, had his finest performance as a professional in last week’s win over Houston. He ran for 83 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries while cementing his spot atop the team’s tailback platoon. He had just one carry for 0 yards before leaving the field on Sunday.
