Tagging Cousins would put his 2016 salary upwards of $20 million, fully guaranteed, giving him even more leverage in contract talks. There’s still plenty of time for Washington and Cousins to get a deal done before it turns into a tag and holdout situation. Besides, we all know this ends with Dan Snyder handing out one of the massive contracts he’s famous for.
