MORE QUARTERBACK TRADES? Broncos looking to trade up in the first round of the NFL Draft. And who might they be targeting? It looks like it could be Paxton Lynch, but considering how this offseason has gone in Denver, don’t be surprised if it’s Christian Hackenberg.
NFL teams aren’t done trading for quarterbacks in the draft
Paxton Lynch and even Christian Hackenberg (yikes!) will be desirable consolation prizes for teams needing signal callers this year.
QUARTERBACK RUMORS: Will Paxton Lynch slide? There are rumors about teams being concerned with his Wonderlic score, because anonymous scouts are so smart themselves. Lynch might even slide into the second round and see Christian Hackenberg drafted ahead of him ... potentially by the 49ers, which lol.
MOCK DRAFT MONDAY: 2016 NFL mock Draft: Jared Goff at No. 1. We’ve finally made it to draft week, and now we have a little bit of clarity at the top of the draft.
NUGGETS: Peter King’s nugget-filled mock draft. A few interesting notes here that stood out to me (there’s plenty more in there too):
> The Titans are interesting in trading up for a tackle.
> Ronnie Stanley could prompt the Browns to deal Joe Thomas.
> If the Bills don’t pick Robert Nkemdiche, he could slide out of the first round.
> Is Will Fuller the first wide receiver off the board????
NOW BRADFORD’S HAPPY: Sam Bradford will NOT ask Eagles to move him. Sounds like Sleeves is here to stay, for now. I would expect this situation to change daily.
CAREER-DEFINING TRADE: The Eagles-Browns trade will make or break Howie Roseman’s tenure in Philadelphia. It’s come to this.
JETS WANTED THE TOP PICK TOO: The Jets thought about the No. 1 pick too. Jets G.M. Mike Maccagnan admitted that he called Tennessee about possibly doing a deal.
GO BROWNS: How the Cleveland Browns can ace the 2016 NFL Draft. No one has more picks in 2016 than the Browns. Here’s how they should use the early selections.
NORMAN’S DECISION: Josh Norman wanted to come back to the Panthers. The details of this saga are strange.
LOOKING BACK: Revisiting the 2013 NFL Draft shows us no pick is ever safe. The 2013 NFL Draft may be one of the worst of the modern era. Let’s take a look back at the first-round picks and see what lessons can be learned from this.
WHERE TO BUY SACKS: It’s never too soon to take a pass rusher in the NFL Draft. Think your team can play it safe and find a pass rusher in the middle and later rounds of the NFL Draft? Think again.
COLEMAN BEAT CANCER: Shon Coleman beat cancer and is finally ready to take on the NFL Draft. The offensive tackle from Auburn has been waiting six years for this year.
THE LAS VEGAS RAIDERS: Mark Davis will reportedly commit to a Las Vegas move if stadium financing approved this week. This Thursday, Raiders owner Mark Davis will be attending a meeting with Las Vegas officials where they will discuss financing of a new stadium there.
MORE TROUBLE FOR MANZIEL: Johnny Manziel reportedly indicted on assault charge after domestic dispute. This is the second domestic incident he’s been involved in over the last several months.
