Sammy Watkins has a broken foot, but he “should be ready for training camp.” Watkins broke a small bone in his foot and had a screw inserted. There’s still some dispute as to when he’ll actually be ready to play. Adam Schefter reported that Watkins is expected to miss the preseason.
ANOTHER BILL, ANOTHER OPERATION
Buffalo’s first-round pick, Shaq Lawson, is having shoulder surgery before the start of the season. The Bills knew about the issue. Originally, it was thought that the 19th overall pick would have his shoulder worked on after the 2016 season. There’s still no timetable for when, or if, he’ll be able to play this season.
