Julian Edelman interrupted a Boston concert to yell ‘Free [Tom] Brady’

Ever since the start of the interminable Deflategate saga, "Free Tom Brady" has emerged as the unofficial rallying cry of the six New England states. It reverberates throughout Fenway Park during nearly every Red Sox home game and one Patriots fan even claims he shouted it at Roger Goodell in a grocery store last summer.

So it only makes sense that Brady’s favorite wide receiver added to the chorus.

Julian Edelman came out on stage at the Boston Calling music festival Saturday night and shouted "Free Brady." Predictably, the crowd went wild.

Edelman, who just celebrated his 30th birthday, is the latest one of Brady’s teammates and confidants to show support for him during his prolonged legal fight against the NFL. At the draft last month, Patriots Hall of Famer Kevin Faulk wore a Brady jersey as he announced the team’s third-round pick.

Even the Indianapolis 500 winner Alexander Rossi gave Brady a shoutout after earning the victory on Sunday:

The U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated Brady’s four-game suspension in April, overturning a federal judge’s decision to vacate the ban. Brady announced Monday he will appeal the verdict, guaranteeing that the saga will drag out well into the summer months.
