This acrobatic, 1-handed catch has us convinced Jordan Taylor is the Broncos’ best player

My favorite player on the Denver Broncos’ roster isn’t Von Miller, although he’s a close second. It isn’t Bradley Roby either, though he’s a lot of fun, too. It’s not Demaryius Thomas, and it isn’t new quarterback Mark “Butt Fumble” Sanchez.

My favorite Denver Broncos player is Jordan “Sunshine” Taylor.

You might be asking yourself, “Who is Jordan Taylor?” (other than the guy with the most beautiful hair in the NFL, that is). Okay, you are almost certainly asking yourself that question. Well, please allow me to introduce you to Jordan Taylor.

The Broncos certainly recognize Taylor’s full potential.

The Giants responded almost immediately, and okay, fine, Giants. We know there’s only one Odell Beckham Jr.

But he’s no Jordan Taylor. And I’m not the only one who’s a huge Jordan Taylor fan. Mark Sanchez, who threw the pass Taylor hauled in seemingly effortlessly with one hand, was pretty impressed also.

How could anyone not be impressed by that catch? Look at this. Taylor’s using every inch of his 6’5 frame to leap up and pull in this ball with just one hand. It’s incredible.

Former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is also a huge Jordan Taylor fan. Taylor, who spent last season on Denver’s practice squad, was Manning’s primary target as he worked his way back from injury.

Taylor, despite being on the practice squad, still played a significant role in the team’s playoff run and Super Bowl 50 win.

“I wanted to get back out to the stadium field and throw a little bit, so I grabbed Jordan,” Manning said about preparing for Denver’s win over the San Diego Chargers in Week 17. “We won, so we did it versus Pittsburgh, versus New England and we’ll be out there Super Bowl Sunday.”

Taylor, ever the professional and characteristically humble, said via the Broncos website that he doesn’t even really know how he made today’s catch.

“Mark [Sanchez] threw a good ball, and I saw the ball at the last second,” Taylor said. “I don’t know why I threw one hand up, why I didn’t put my left hand up. It just all happened real fast. By the time I turned my head and threw my hand up, the ball was in my hand. It all happened really quick.”

Perhaps after this dynamic catch, many others will join me in the world of Jordan Taylor fandom.
