In sports, for the most part, there is a divide between fans and the athletes they adore. From time to time, those barriers are taken down. For 15-year-old Steelers fan Caleb Schmitt, he experienced a series of events that opened his eyes and gave him a new appreciation to a favorite player.

Veteran linebacker Arthur Moats is one of these fan favorites. He is a man that cherishes his relationship with the people that cheer him on. Whether it’s hanging out after practice for an hour to sign autographs or simply replying to a fan’s note, Moats seems to find a way of leaving a lasting impression on Steelers Nation.
