Bills vs. Patriots 2016 picks and predictions: Bill Belichick should get the best of Rex Ryan once again

It's been an enjoyable week for Rex Ryan. After the Buffalo Bills trounced the Arizona Cardinals for their first win of the season last Sunday, Ryan spent some time needling Bill Belichick like only he can. He impersonated the surly head coach at the podium and also posed as a reporter -- Walt Patulski from the Buffalo News -- and asked Julian Edelman during his conference call if he planned on taking snaps at quarterback this week. Unsurprisingly, Edelman didn't play along.

After winning three of his first five meetings against Belichick, Ryan's teams have struggled to beat the Patriots. The Bills may see an opening this week with Tom Brady serving the final game of his four-week DeflateGate suspension, but the Patriots have astonishingly failed to skip a beat during Brady's absence.

Both Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett are nursing injuries, but at least one of them should be ready to start for the Patriots Sunday. The team declined to sign a veteran this week, and both quarterbacks were working out at practice this week.

Through three weeks, Garoppolo currently has the best QB rating in the NFL. The 2014 second-round pick has completed 71.2 percent of his passes for 496 yards and four touchdowns without throwing a pick. Brissett didn't throw an interception in his first career start against the Houston Texans last week, either.

The Patriots' sensational start without Brady -- and largely Rob Gronkowski, who played sparingly last Thursday after sitting out the first two weeks -- has only added to Belichick's legend. All eight of CBS' experts think the Patriots will defeat Buffalo at Gillette Stadium Sunday, and all nine of ESPN's analysts agree.
