Washington vs. Eagles live stream: How to watch ‘Monday Night Football’ online

Washington and Philadelphia will battle under the bright lights on Monday night.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles are currently in the midst of a four-game winning streak, and they sit atop the NFC East. Washington and Philadelphia met in Week 1, and the Eagles won 30-17. Washington has the opportunity to tighten the division standings when it faces the Eagles on Monday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. ET. ESPN (livestream).

Washington has been competitive this season. This offense ranks in the top 10 in rushing and passing — and Washington currently has the fifth-best defense in the NFL. If Washington wants to win this game, it must neutralize Philadelphia’s potent rushing attack. Offensively, Washington has to score early and often. The Eagles can light up a scoreboard with ease, so Washington has to score touchdowns — not field goals.

Philadelphia’s offense, led by sophomore quarterback Carson Wentz, has the ninth-best passing offense and the fourth-best rushing offense in the NFL. The Eagles are still undefeated in the City of Brotherly Love, and they are undefeated in division play. Philadelphia’s defense, however, ranks 23rd in the league, but that unit only surrenders 20.3 points per game. Even though the Eagles defense isn’t one of the more stout units in the league, it makes plays when necessary.

Washington vs. Eagles news

Redskins-Eagles, Part II could go a long way in deciding the NFC East - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN A win by the Eagles would give Philadelphia a season sweep and a virtual 3 1/2-game lead in the division over the Redskins.

This won’t be an easy game. Washington is fighting to stay alive in the NFC East. They’ve had the Eagles’ number in recent history so the pressure is on Philly to reverse the trend.

If you’re feeling worried about this game, today’s post might have you feeling a little better about the Eagles’ chances.

Bleeding Green Nation already took some time to chat with Hogs Haven in order to preview this week’s matchup. That Q&A will be posted today or tomorrow.

Today, we’re back with three reasons why each team might lose. This format forces us to consider each team’s weaknesses, rather than just think of why each team is awesome.

So here are three reasons why Washington could lose, as written by HH’s Bill-in-Bangkok. Stay tuned to Hogs Haven to see why I think the Eagles could lose.

In a game that came down to the wire, the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Oakland Raiders on Thursday Night Football. Andy Reid’s team is now 5-2.

Do you know what this means?

I think you do.

Your Philadelphia Eagles are now in sole possession of the best record in the NFL at 5-1.

They’re on top of the league.

Washington vs. Eagles prediction

Washington will upset the Eagles. Indeed, Philadelphia beat Washington in Week 1, but Washington is a different team right now. The defense looks rejuvenated, and the offense as a whole has improved considerably. Philadelphia must watch out for Kirk Cousins and Co.
