Two teams who have their fair shares of quarterback issues and injuries through the first half of the season will meet when the Miami Dolphins play the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football at 8:25 p.m. ET on NFL Network and CBS (live stream).
Dolphins vs. Ravens 2017: Start time, TV schedule for ‘Thursday Night Football’
This AFC showdown will feature the oft-debated Color Rush jerseys.

After Miami was able to lure QB Jay Cutler away from retirement following the season-ending injury of starter Ryan Tannehill ahead of the regular season, the team is once again looking toward a backup to step in at quarterback. Cutler was hit hard in the third quarter of last week’s win over the Jets, and is expected to miss two to three weeks with two cracked ribs, leaving the offense in the hands of Matt Moore.
On the other side of the ball, the Ravens are reeling from injuries in their own right. QB Joe Flacco may still be in the lineup, but there were 10 other starters listed in the early week injury report, with two WRs (Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman) still in concussion protocol -- which is not super promising on an already shortened week. Things have not improved much since Week 4 when Flacco openly admitted, “I sucked. It wasn’t good.”
This will mark the 15th time the Dolphins and Ravens will meet in either the regular season or postseason, with Baltimore leading the series 8-6 and claiming six victories in the past seven meetings.

Dolphins vs. Ravens news:
- After complaints with the poor condition of the turf during last week’s game, the Miami Dolphins announced they are replacing the entire thing.
- With a bad team, comes the inevitable questions about how long this will continue before exploring other head coach options. Has John Harbaugh already lost the locker room?
- Not only did WR Jarvis Landry lead the way in last week’s win, but he’s sick of this Dolphins team not getting the respect he believes they deserve.
“Like I said, man, they have to stop doubting us,” Landry told Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager after Sunday’s 31-28 win over the New York Jets. “This team, man, we’ve been through everything this year. We’ve been through hurricanes, we’ve been through 16,000 miles, man, and to be down two weeks in a row, and do it like this, man. I can’t be proud enough of this whole organization, and my teammates, and the city of Miami.”
- The Ravens were pretty bad last week — as supported by PFF stats — and it started at the top with Flacco.
His 42.7 grade was the lowest among the Ravens’ skill position players, and he managed only seven passing yards when under pressure. It’s clear this offense has failed him. The injuries have mounted, and the lack of skill position players is unforgiving. I’m not giving Flacco a pass, but it’s not all on Joe.
Dolphins vs. Ravens predictions:
The Baltimore Ravens are beat up and sad. Unfortunately, the Dolphins -- even at the hands of Moore -- will be too much for the Ravens to handle. Miami snags the win to climb to 5-2, with the Ravens left contemplating their future. Five of our eight experts agree, although OddsShark’s computer says Baltimore winning.
