Zeke’s back, y’all, and he’s ready to eat.

The Cowboys are coming off a huge Sunday night win over the Raiders, in a close 20-17 victory that came down to the final minutes, but ultimately kept the team’s faint playoff hopes alive — for now. They’ll play host to the Seahawks, who are coming off their worst home loss since 1997 and their worst overall loss since 2009.
It was a demoralizing effort by Seattle last week against the Los Angeles Rams, and one that could ultimately keep the Seahawks out of the playoffs. Among the litany of things the team would need to happen to make a postseason run, they’d need a win over the Cowboys, as well as both the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons having worse records than the Seahawks following Week 17.
The Cowboys are no strangers to demoralizing losses themselves. The first three weeks of Zeke’s suspension was painful for Dallas, losing three big games in a row at home. To make matters worse, the three-game losing streak included an embarrassing 37-9 trouncing by their NFC East division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles.
From QB Dak Prescott, to position-mate Dez Bryant, the Cowboys are excited to welcome back their top running back and offensive playmaker, as well as to do so without the extra drama of appeals and suspensions looming overhead.

Seahawks vs. Cowboys news:
- From 2012-2014, the Seahawks were one of the teams who could beat you with little time on the clock and in spectacular fashion. That isn’t the case in 2017.
This team isn’t talented enough to overcome its miscues, and they commit a ton of them at terrible junctures. They’re also no longer a team that gets stronger in December. This is twice in a row that it’s been the opposite, key injuries or not.
- Dallas’ win last week against the Raiders didn’t come easy, and required one of the league’s closest ever first-down measurements.
As will be in just about every story you read tonight about the game, it featured what is arguably the closest measurement ever for a first down. At their own 39, with only 5:06 left in a tie game, the Cowboys went for it on fourth and one. In a game where Jason Garrett was not afraid to do much of anything, Dallas went with a quarterback sneak.
- Last week’s home loss for the Seahawks was the worst loss in the Pete Carroll era and tied for most points allowed during that time.
Here’s an uncomfortable truth Seahawks fans need to face, they’ve quietly been an average if not mediocre home team as of late. After starting out 7-0 in 2016, they are now 4-4 in their last eight regular season games at CenturyLink Field. Three of their four home wins this season were against teams that currently have at least ten losses, and they needed fourth quarter comebacks on two occasions.
Seahawks vs. Cowboys predictions:
Dallas is ready to rock and roll now that it has its phenom rusher back in the lineup. With Ezekiel Elliott finished with his suspension, you can expect the former Buckeye to do all he can to make up for lost time, and that is going to be bad news for the Seahawks. Seattle has little answers for the Cowboys’ offense and Dallas gets a big win in front of a home crowd. All eight of our experts tabbed Dallas to win in their Week 16 picks.
