Hello, here’s the president barking out an NFL draft take that sure felt reasonable at the time.
That time Donald Trump urged someone to draft Johnny Manziel right away
Well, he didn’t end up becoming an NFL general manager, at least.

The many college football fans who wanted the Heisman winner to go early? They surely sided with the reality TV man at the time, and everyone else was howling for Jerry Jones to take Texas native Johnny Manziel, if only for max entertainment purposes.
But, yeah, it sure didn’t work out. Manziel had eight starts for the Cleveland Browns before his NFL career likely ended for good, throwing seven picks for seven touchdowns. He’s out of the league after his off-field worries reached far more concerning levels.
Despite those career changes, Manziel does have some social media guidance for Twitter’s most famous resident.
Manziel then deleted his Twitter account after that, but it’s back now. Trump, a former failed football owner, did not delete his account.
