Leonard Fournette surprised his mom with a new car for Mother’s Day

Talk about a nice surprise gift.

Mother’s Day is coming up in a little over a week (it’s Sunday, May 14, in case you forgot!) and former LSU running back Leonard Fournette decided to surprise his mom with an early present. The new Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back, who was selected No. 4 overall in last week’s NFL draft, gave his mom a brand new Mercedes SUV.

We’ve seen new NFL rookies purchase new cars for their moms besides Fournette, and there will probably be more to come as Mother’s Day gets closer. Last week, former Clemson Tigers quarterback and Houston Texans rookie Deshaun Watson’s first purchase as a professional was a new car for his mom.

The car’s MSRP is around $50,000, but with all the bells and whistles availables Watson could have dropped upwards of $75,000 if he really wanted to treat his mom on her special day.

SB Nation spoke to Watson on Thursday before the draft, and he said because of his mother’s special day, a car would be the first thing he purchased.

“My mom’s birthday is Saturday so after I make sure that she’s set I’m not really sure,” he said. ... “We might wait on [buying her a] house. But buy her a car or something like that. Something special for Saturday.”

We’re going to most likely see more surprise gift videos such as these, and hopefully, they’ll help you not forget to get something for your mom on Mother’s Day!
