The New England Patriots have a new offensive lineman, no wait, TWO new offensive linemen. After taking Georgia tackle Isaiah Wynn with the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Thursday, they made a deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday for tackle Trent Brown.

New England has a pair of new tackles.

The deal was still in the works early Friday afternoon. But it was widely expected to go through, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The Patriots are giving up the 95th pick in exchange for Brown and the 143rd pick in the draft.
Brown, San Francisco’s right tackle, became expendable for the Niners on Thursday after they selected Notre Dame offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey with the ninth pick. Joe Staley is still holding down the left side, but McGlinchey can slide over once the legend decides to call it a career.
The two teams began talking about the deal Thursday night, according to Pro Football Talk.
New England lost long-time left tackle Nate Solder to the Giants — he signed there as a free agent this spring — leaving a big hole on Tom Brady’s 41-year-old blind side. The pairing or Wynn and Brown on the ends of the offensive line should help fill the gap.
