A Cleveland radio host said he’d ‘eat horse poop’ if the Browns drafted Baker Mayfield. He’s apparently gonna do it!

A promise is a promise.

Well, this is awkward. Before the NFL Draft, an ESPN Cleveland radio personality named Aaron Goldhammer said on-air that if the Cleveland Browns took quarterback Baker Mayfield, he would, and I quote “eat horse poop.”

Guess what the Browns did with their No. 1 pick? On Friday after the pick was made, let’s just say people didn’t exactly forget about the promise Goldhammer made:

Well folks, it looks like Goldhammer will in fact, eat horse poop. I can’t believe I just typed those words.

Even before the draft, Goldhammer was playing his promise up on Twitter...

... little did he know.

Goldhammer handled the whole situation about as well as one would expect after the pick was announced:

At the end of the day, a promise was made, but I really hope Goldhammer doesn’t go through with this out of respect for himself and his integrity. On the contrary, a promise is a promise, and I’m sure there are some Browns fans happy that Cleveland took Mayfield who want to see this happen.

We’ll continue to update this very important story with more horse poop updates as they come in.
