Oregon offensive tackle Tyrell Crosby was the 153rd overall pick in the NFL Draft. The Lions took him there on Saturday, a strong value pick in the fifth round.
The Lions’ Tyrell Crosby got drafted and made an immediate beeline for Chipotle
Maybe you don’t like it, but you’ve got to respect it.

So, Tyrell, what did you do after the biggest moment of your professional life? The same thing anyone should do after any moment that impacts any facet of their life:
There are certain people in the world who will think Crosby is somehow unsophisticated for making a beeline for Chipotle within an hour of getting drafted into the NFL. They’ll tell him that wherever he is, surely there must be other places to get burritos. Everyone who’s ever frequented Chipotle has had to deal with these types of burrito elitists day in and day out.
Those people are sad. Chipotle provides critical fuel for athletes, sportswriters, and people working in all walks of the global economy. I’m glad to see Crosby starting his NFL journey by getting some protein into his system and not immediately reaching for some other kind of meal. It shows the kind of grit and authenticity that will serve him well.
SB Nation has reached out to Crosby for more specifics on his order. I’ll update this post if any more information becomes available.
